The association's activities in the past two years 2023 2024
- Welcoming new board doctors specializing in psychiatry.
- A new administrative and supervisory body for the association will be elected on May 30, 2024, under the auspices of the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, and under the supervision of the Supreme Medical Council.
- Active participation in arranging and coordinating the practical exam for the Yemeni Fellowship and creating a suitable atmosphere for the educational process to proceed smoothly.
- Holding periodic monthly scientific days
- Active participation of the association's members, including consultants and specialists, in charitable medical camps concerned with psychiatry.
- Holding friendly meetings and periodic visits for the association members to strengthen relations and cohesion among members.
There are many educational activities and meetings carried out by the association and continuing education that took place during the past two years 2023-2024.
First Scientific Day
On Thursday, February 23, 2023, 42 doctors and physicians participated in a comprehensive discussion on schizophrenia, its causes, symptoms, treatment, antipsychotic medications, their side effects, how to deal with them, and the latest scientific developments in this field.
Second World Day
On Thursday, March 30, 2023, which coincides with World Doctors' Day and the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan, more than 40 doctors will participate, providing a comprehensive explanation of the meanings and terminology of psychiatry.
The Third Scientific Day
On Thursday, May 25, 2023, 45 doctors participated in the conference, which covered the topic of bipolar disorder in detail from several perspectives: causes, symptoms, and treatment, along with a brief introduction to the history of psychiatry.
The Fourth Scientific Day
On Thursday, June 22, 2023, 42 doctors participated, covering the types, causes, symptoms, and drug and psychological treatment of depression.
Fifth Scientific Day
On Thursday, August 3, 2023, with the participation of 60 doctors, the topic of anxiety and depression was discussed in detail from several perspectives.
The Sixth Scientific Day
On Thursday, August 31, 2023, 39 doctors, both male and female, participated in a detailed discussion on the topic of addiction, including its types, causes, symptoms, and treatment.
The Seventh Scientific Day
On Thursday, September 28, 2023, with the participation of 40 doctors, both male and female, it was a continuation of the topic of addiction.
The Eighth Scientific Day
On Thursday, August 29, 2024, for the attendance of 40 doctors, male and female, it was about mental health and its relationship to religiosity and spirituality, as well as its relationship to head injuries.
The Ninth Scientific Day
Mental Health at Work on Thursday, November 14, 2024, with the participation of 40 doctors.
The tenth scientific day
Organic diseases such as heart disease and their relationship to psychological disorders, with the participation of 41 doctors, both male and female.
